Cooking with Fire Friday with Gib McInnes

This will be our second to last Cooking by the Fire Friday for the season. We love brining people together to enjoy food, drinks and music! Our intimate kitchen party style social dining events are memorable and you leave with great memories and new friends. Enjoy dinner, entertainment and the beauty of Scots Bay on a summer evening!

Just steps from the Beach at Scott's Bay Provincial Park, The Long Table Social Club enjoys a gorgeous view of the Bay and it's amazing sunsets (on a clear day).  This Cooking with Fire culinary and social dinging experience will have you mix and mingle with other guests, sitting together at long tables, eating and drinking great local food while listening to good music.

Musician Bio:

Gib McInnis’ maritime roots provide the colours and inspiration for most of his songs which are about nature and human longing. His inspirations for his compositions are: Gordon Lightfoot, and Neil Young.   He has performed for all types of audiences around the world and across Canada, from Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba. 

Musical compositions along with stories from Gib's career as stage technician for musicians such as AC/DC, Tragically Hip, Neil Young, Arcade Fire, Sam Smith, Smoky Robinson, Brad Paisley, and many others. Gib is a founding member of the Canadian Independent music movement, known today as "Indie" music.  He is also an accomplished writer (e-book and print). See Amazon for his novel and poetry.  

Event Details: 

Please arrive between 6pm and 6:30pm to enjoy the event to the fullest. 

If the weather is good enough, we will be outside on the patio. If not, we will reserve inside for ticketed guests. This is a ticketed event, advanced tickets are required to guarantee a spot. Tickets are $45 (plus tax and fees) for a 4-course set menu and you can decide to add a flight of Sea Level beer or cider for $15.  Tickets for the a la carte menu are $30.

Please select one of two dining options, set menu or a la carte when purchasing your ticket. We appreciate your support of our business and our local musicians.  Additional drinks will be served at extra cost and a gratuity of 18% of the dinner ticket price will be added to each bill at check out.  By purchasing a ticket, you are acknowledging that you have looked at the Cooking with Fire Friday menu in this description and agree to purchase your food and drink according to the pricing on the page. We will not be offering our regular menu.

Set Menu:

4 courses

1. Pulled Pork Tacos

2. Chorizo sausage bites with honey mustard dippling sauce

3. BBQ chicken leg dinner with baked potato, corn on the cob and grilled vegetables

4. Banana pie pudding

A la carte menu (one course plus set dessert)

1. Bay Burger with frites or salad

2. Conquered Cape Split Burger with fries or salad

3. Lobster Mac & Cheese with garlic toast

4. Bowl of Seafood Chowder with biscuit

5. House salad with chicken breast or 5 scallops

Please select your meal type in advance when purchasing your advanced ticket. Substitutions will not be permitted during the dinner, please email us with any dietary needs 48hours prior to the event.

Our style is casual and we encourage you to dress in layers since we are near the ocean and the weather can get cool near sundown! Shirts and shoes required please! Weather permitting, we will be dining outside so please dress according to the weather by the Bay of Fundy!
